COMPANY PLATES

There are many materials and possibilities to capture your logo on a plate that you can place at the entrance of your building or company, but we are going to review the most used options.

1. Methacrylate plates:

Methacrylate is a plastic material with great durability and resistance to the elements. It is surely the most used material for company plates given its low cost and the ability to contain any design regardless of the number of colors.

These methacrylate plates are fixed to the wall through 4 screws and can be used with different finishes: Transparent, Opal (translucent) or completely opaque (PVC plates are also used in these cases).

In most cases the methacrylate plates have a rectangular cut but also allow circular, oval or special designs.

The design is applied in most cases to the back of the plate, in this way it is protected from the elements and ensures its durability. It can be labeled by cutting vinyl (adhesive) or even digitally printed to use any number of colors, gradients or photographic images.

2. Metal plates:

This type of plate stands out for its durability and elegance, although it has limitations regarding the use of colors.

Generally on a base of metallic material (steel, aluminum or brass are the most common) the logo and the location are engraved (when the plate goes on the portal of the building). The engraving is usually in low relief (The design is sunk with respect to the plate) and then it is enameled with its corporate colors:

Another very interesting option would be to reproduce the logo playing only with metallic materials, achieving very elegant effects thanks to differences in texture (matte and gloss) and volume (perforated letters). In the example below on the left, the metal plate has been completely perforated to obtain the icon, and the texts are engraved and enameled in gray on the surface. In the example on the right (gold) the letters are perforated on a first gold plate with a matte texture that is glued onto a second plate with a shiny texture. This gives us a result of maximum elegance, since the logo stands out only because of the difference in finish and relief:

SIGNS AND POSTERS:

The signage sector is very extensive, there are a large number of formats and materials, and new options are constantly emerging in the sector. Generally, the signs are placed outside a store or business, although you may also be interested in putting a kind of projecting banner.

Our advice is that you personally go to a good signage company and have a professional show you the different possibilities that exist. However, below we are going to explain some of the most common options.

The first thing we have to decide is whether we want a sign with its own light or without light.

  • Sign without light:

Within the options without light we can reproduce our design on a metal plate (aluminum, steel, brass), on plastic (Methacrylate, PVC, vinyl, plastic canvas), wood, etc ...

In general, the plastic options are the most used, as in the previous example of the plates. The reason is that they are cheaper and allow you to reproduce all kinds of designs without any limitation.

Signs without light obviously do not have the visual quality of those that do have it incorporated, but it has the great advantage that they are cheaper. In addition, we can always illuminate the sign externally by means of light points:

  • Sign with built-in light:

Most of these posters are usually a kind of light box that projects our design thanks to the fact that it appears printed on a translucent material that lets light through.

The best known type of lighting is that of fluorescent tubes, although LED lighting is becoming more and more prevalent as they have more durability and on top of that you save up to 90% more energy.

The lettering is usually with printed vinyl or cut vinyl.

BODY LETTERS:

Cropping a Logo(Logo Design Hill) to give it volume is without a doubt one of the best options in terms of the quality of the result. Really spectacular things can be achieved. In general, it is more expensive than the options we have seen previously, although it will also depend on the material and finish that we give it.
We can use PVC, methacrylate, aluminum, brass, steel or even cork. They can be letters without light or with light, generally LEDS. These lights can go inside the letters or they can be behind the letters and project the light on the wall framing them with a halo of light.

Again we recommend going to a good signage company and that they teach you with real examples the different options that exist:
